sick day= grateful day

Mariah and Mom are home sick today. Mariah has had a cough the past couple of days, along with a fever, runny nose, diarrhea, and all that fun stuff. I have had a sore throat, cough, and congestion. And Brandon, who is out knocking doors right now, has had a cough and a head cold as well, no fun.
Mariah is in the tub and our internet was connected to our x-box, so I decided to look at pictures on our computer, man, we have so many fun memories together as a family and also with our family and friends. It made me realize how grateful I am for such a wonderful life, and wonderful people. I have had a really hard time living here in Idaho, away from everything I have ever known. I miss my family so much, I think I always have taken them for granted, they have always been there for us and at the most 15 minutes away from us. I talked to Nichole last night and I just wanted to drive to her house pick her up and go on a late night drive and talk. Man I love that girl, what would I do without her? Probably die. She has always been there for me, through everything, how blessed I am to have her in my life.
I have always been pretty independent and have felt I could take on anything, like moving all over the county, packing up the house a couple times a year became a routine, having Mariah in Virginia, not a big deal, everything would work out, and it did. Where is my faith now? I thought moving to Idaho for school would be the same, and I could be strong and everything would fall into place, which I am sure it will, but it just has not happened as quickly as I had wanted. Let's just say I have had a really hard time with the whole thing. My emotions are like a roller coaster, up and down, probably doesn't help that I'm pregnant. I don't know what I would do without Brandon's family living 25 minutes from us. They have been wonderful and are helping me to adjust everyday. It's very different here, different in so many aspects compare to Utah, and I am just not used to it. I'm so used to my bubble, I like my bubble, I want my bubble back.
Today as I sat and looked at pictures, I came across one of Brandon and Mariah. A load of love dumped on my chest as I thought about how much I love these two. How can I be so sad, when I have these two right by my side? I shouldn't be. They are everything to me. We have just begun a new journey together and it's going to be hard at first, but everything WILL work out, someway. I just need faith, and I know it will all work out, who knows, I will probably grow and learn a lot from this whole experience. Anyway, the whole point of this was that I realized, family is everything, love is everything, and having great faith is everything.
I am also so incredibly excited for this little baby kicking inside my belly to come out and play. I am so excited to have another little one in our family, I just can't wait. I am also so so grateful for my wonderful husband. He is truly amazing and helps me everyday. I love you babe, so much. Thank you for everything. oxox Becky

We're Back!

WOW... I have a feeling this is going to be a very long post, so be PREPARED! :)

1. If you have not heard from the grape vine, we have some really exciting NEWS... We are expecting baby #2 on June 29, 2010. We are SO excited! It will be so much fun to have a new addition to our family, and to watch Mariah be a big sister. She loves babies but gets very jealous when all daddy and mommy's attention isn't on her, so I guess we will see how it goes. I am 17 weeks along and hopefully will find out here pretty soon what we are having.

Here I am at 15 weeks

2. On Dec. 11, 2009 our sweet daughter was playing with a quarter. As my mom and I chased her around the house trying to catch her to change her diaper, that quarter slipped down her throat and got lodged right in her esophagus. She tried and tried coughing it out but it was stuck pretty good. We took her to the Pediatrician, and then to the hospital for an x-ray, where we saw this!

It was very scary. That thing looks like a 50 cent piece in her little body. She was very calm and kept her mouth clenched together, like there was no way anything was going in there. After we got the x-ray, they decided to send us to Primary Children's Hospital to get it surgically removed. By the time we were admitted and ready for the surgery they found that it had gone down the rest of her throat into her stomach, Thank Goodness. I was terrified of having her go through surgery. They had her drink this liquid stuff to make sure she didn't have any holes in her esophagus and then she was good to go! After a LONG day she went home with a stuffed animal and a new sippy cup, wahoo. We now call it her $1,000 sippy cup. The quarter passed about 12 days later, black as black. We are going to frame it next to this amazing x-ray on her wall ,) We are just happy she is ok!

3. We had a very Merry Christmas. This year we were able to spend Christmas with my mom, it was so nice. Her home is so warm and cozy and you can just feel the spirit and love when you are in her home. Mariah also loves her grandma so it was good for them to be together before we moved. Here are some pics of Christmas Eve and Christmas :)

4. We also had a super fun New Years! We spent New Years Eve with some close friends, first over at our good friends the Jolley's house, and then over at the Apx building. We played dodge ball, ate pizza, played b-ball, had a Britney Spears dance party, watched the ball drop, and drank Martinellis. Oh and Brandon had some good practice using our camera while he took pictures of all us girls being silly :) I have to say that Brandon was so cute that night photographing us for like an hour, and posing us, it was so fun!

5. We MOVED TO BOISE, IDAHO....
Who would have thought? Not me. The BEST and SWEETEST surprise was that my sweet mother in law Sheri and all her family came and unpacked our house in Boise while we were still in Utah. It just made me cry because it took such a load off Brandon and I and was so sweet of them to do that for us. We had been so busy with finals and moving and driving back and forth that it was so nice to come home to a bed and a house ready for us to go. We love you guys, thanks again.. oxox
Brandon is going to get into the U.S. Marshall program down here at BSU and I am going to go through the Nursing Program either at BSU or CWI. We are just getting settled into our new place. It is very warm and cozy here. We went to our new ward yesterday and they were very welcoming, so we are excited. The only thing we don't like here so far is the way BSU does registering. It's been hard to get used to because it's a lot different than UVU. School starts tomorrow and we are both excited to get things rolling. We are finishing cleaning and unpacking today so I will post pictures soon of our new place, especially for you Dahly ,)

6. We just got back from a great VAY-CAY with some great people. This year Brandon won the incentive trip Apx offers every summer, and we had the opportunity to go spend a few days in Cancun!! It was so nice to get away from the stress of life and relax for a few days. Thank you Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Amber for watching our baby girl and Rico while we were away, we owe you big! And thank you to all the rest of our wonderful family for all you guys do for us, we love you! Here are some pictures of the trip :)

K, but the BEST and FUNNIEST thing about this trip happened the last night we were there. We have the pictures to prove it but have sworn they would not be posted. My brother Jason and Brandon decided to give our resort a little show at 1 am and put on these awesome speedos and ran around the complex, into the bar and danced all down the beach. Nichole and I were dying, I peed a little cause I was laughing so hard, it was hilarious!! That was a side of both of them I had never seen and it was priceless... thanks for show boys! :)

7. I am going to try to post every week from now on to save myself from doing anymore of these outstanding posts! And for YOUR sake ,)

Family Photo Shoot

It is that time. Today is dedicated to going through all our crap and to start packing up our stuff. I don't even know where to begin. We plan on taking a whole load of stuff down to Idaho with us for Thanksgiving and hopefully finding a place to live down there when we permanently move in December. It's hit me that we are really doing this, I can't believe it. I am going to miss everyone so much. I guess a new adventure is coming our way! I am excited to go to school at BSU and for Brandon to too. And to be close to his family and get to know them even better. I'm sure it'll be a good experience for both of us, but it's sad to leave Utah :(

So we got a new camera!! We are LOVING it. We thought we'd try it out right when we opened it, and here are some pics of our first family shoot. :)

Fall Happenings

Life has been so crazy crazy crazy. It's been a long time since I have updated my blog so PREPARE there is a lot I have to catch up on :)

First off MY SWEET HUBBY TURNED 27!! (Aug 18th) We celebrated his birthday out in Connecticut and it was fAbUlOuS. Of course he had to work that day but that night a bunch of his buddies came over for some Red Bull Cake and some ice-cream, here's some pics...

Happy Birthday BABE! We love you so much!

We are now home in Utah. Oh how wonderful it is to be home. "There is no place like home, there is no place like home, there is no place like home." :D We are loving every minute of being home, especially this beautiful weather! We are also enjoying our JEEP, the warm wind blowing in our hair, mmmm it's good therapy, so relaxing..

We are both in school full time and it's been very busy, but good. Sadly to say, we plan to move to Idaho in December after this semester. It'll be good for us, we plan to go to BSU and finish our education. I plan on applying for the Nursing Program there in March and Brandon is working hard so that he can get into the U.S. Marshall's program there. We are excited to get through school! The move will be good and it will be so fun to be closer to all of Brandon's family, it is just sad to leave my family and all of our close friends :(

Moving Right Along... Next it was MY BIRTHDAY-- Happy 24th Birthday to ME! (Sept. 15th)
I can say I probably had one of the BEST birthdays in my life's history ,) It started off with Chem Lab at 9, a blog post from my sweet Nichole that included pics of us growing up together as friends, it was hillarious, you should all check it out on her blog, then a little shopping at the mall, lunch at my favorite restaurant Thai Chili Gardens with my sweet mom and Nichole, Jaxon, and Lexi, home to a wonderful husband with an amazing birthday cake that looked like Nike pink and white shoes (which I got in real life and am so excited about!) Dinner and date with my honey, then Jump on It with my hubby and my brothers and their cute wives! Seriously... It was AMAZING!!!!! Thank you to everyone who made my day so super special, I love you all!

My incredible cake, thanks babe!

NEXT: Labor Day Weekend! We had the opportunity to go spend the weekend with mom and dad and our niece Drew in Sun Valley Idaho and camp. It was so nice to get away and spend time with them. We went 4-wheelin, fishin, canoeing, played games, roasted marshmallows, and starbursts; it was so relaxing and fun! Thanx Mom and Dad oxoxo

B made a whole starburst BALL and roasted it, it looked disgusting but I think he enjoyed it ,)

LAST BUT NOT LEAST: SCOTT AND MCKENNA'S WEDDING
I don't have many pics of it but I have a couple cute ones of Mariah and her cousin Jaxon. The wedding was so nice, they were married in the SLC Temple and it was so peaceful and sweet. I am so happy for both of them, what an exciting time of life and a great new journey ahead of them. The reception was absolutely gorgeous, they had such a good turn out and we all had so much fun. Mariah LOVED the music and dancing. Her and Brandon danced the night away, it was so cute. Mariah and Jaxon also danced and it was adorable, Maybe I can get a video up of them soon. CONGRATS SCOTT AND KENNERS WE LOVE YOU!

(precious little cousins)

If you made it this far, hope you enjoyed! I will try to post shorter and more often in the future :)
